Winnipeg Wrestling Insider Exclusive with The Master Blogger

Winnipeg Wrestling Insider: This is an exclusive for the Winnipeg Wrestling Insider and I am here with one of the most postive forces in Winnipeg Independent Wrestling, this man goes to a number of different shows in the city, he is the shining light of positivity and he takes nobody's side. I am talking about the Master Blogger himself: James Tuchscherer. How are you doing sir?

Master Blogger: Doing alright fella. How are you doing?

WWI: I am doing fine. Some people are not as familiar with you so can you give just a little brief biography of the Master Blogger.

MB: For sure. For all of you in T.V. land or internet land we got a former North Kildonan now West Kildonan kid grew up watching wrestling since he has been old enough to talk. I would watch the Superstars of Wrestling every Saturday. This was back when wrestling on T.V. was good. As I got older I would check out WFWA and IWA wrestling which was run by Tony Condello every Saturday at 1:00 on CKY now known as CTV. When I got to middle school, I would come home every day after school to watch River City Wrestling on Shaw channel 11. Eventually down the road I would check out some of RCW's shows at the Chalmer's Community Club took a bit of a break. When Bobby Jay started up TRCW, I would check their shows out but not the ones they did at the Paladium (laughing). Anyway, after PCW Commencement Of Cool at the Investors Group Centre, I took another bit of a break for a long time. So that is basically me in a nutshell.

WWI: What brought you to the local wrestling business? What made you decide to do those reviews?

MB: Well there was a lot of stuff leading up to that. I was approached one night by my best friend and his girlfriend and we were going to our first NBW show. Anyway, along the way we talked about me becoming a columnist for the local independent wrestling scene. Well, I really wanted to do this, just to do something other than go to these shows as just a fan. So I gave it some thought. When January 2011 came round, I jumped at it. I bought a clipboard and a notepad and I have been hooked ever since.

WWI: Now let me ask you this, you attend these shows, you are very, very positive. How do you manage to keep that positive attitude because you must see a lot of negativity in the local wrestling scene but you are the shining light of positivity. How do you manage to stay that way?

MB: I just wanted to do something to help out these promotions. Plain and simple.

WWI: Where can people see some of your work cause they are not familiar with you. Can you tell me where can they go on the internet to see some of your stuff?

MB: For sure. For those of you who would like to check out some of my work, you can go to jamestuchscherer (all one word btw) .blogspot.com, or they can check out my facebook notes or they can follow me on twitter @blogger2900 or they can check out myspace by going under blog and clicking James's Blog or this is a new one: they can follow me on tumblr. Tumblr is a microblogging site. Stay informed.

WWI: How do you feel about the state of River City Wrestling these days?

MB: Right now, I am confused as hell. I don't know when the next show will be. I even heard a lot of the workers on that roster are upset that Cory Diamond is the new Head of Creative.

WWI: At the last NBW show, Billy Blaze told you to write down everything he said. What was going through your mind?

MB: First and foremost, I was not cutting a heel promo, I was just told to write what a well respected wrestler told me to write. But now in my opinion, they (RCW) have got to go to Ellice Theatre or some community club and take it over like it was their venue.

WWI: What are your thoughts of CCW no longer running shows?

MB: You know, to be honest with you, I have never really attended one of their shows. But I just wish they had gone on longer. I am sure guys on that roster like Tomahawk Gene Swan, Wildman Firpo even Leatherface himself now are free to work anywhere like either SPW or NBW. Just saying.

WWI: Would you like to give any final comments to your fans and the wrestlers on those rosters?

MB: I appreciate the positive feedback.

WWI: Thank you for your time James.

MB: It was an honor fella.
