Today River City Wrestling returned to the corner of Logan and Lizzie. Now this is their final pre-show before they move to community centres. But enough of this jibber jabber it's time to give the results as provided by none other than yours truly, the Master Blogger.
Opening Promo: Dirty Dick Walker cuts a promo saying there is a dude backstage talking trash about me and his name is Vinnie Valiant. Walker goes on to challenge Valiant to a match later that afternoon. Vinnie comes out and says: ''I accept.''
Opening Match: ''Misfit'' Mike Mission vs. Leo London - London attacked Mission with a kendo stick before the opening bell with a kendo stick. After Leo tossed The Misfit into the ring starting the match, he went for his finishing hold known as the Cattle Mutilation trying to end the match quickly but the Misfit grabbed the ropes. Mission countered with an armbar into an armlock but Leo would reverse it. The Misfit then countered with a headlock but Leo delivered a bridge and slapped Mission across the face. London delivered a boot to the chest. Mission recovered with a figure four leglock but London put his hand on the ropes. The match went back and forth with Mission hitting his signature Mission Statement DDT for a 2. London came back and hit his Hangman's Rolling Elbow also for a 2. While referee Rocky Augustino wasn't looking, Leo put his feet on the ropes to get the 3 count.
Match #2: Madman Muir (accompanied by Laurence Fozzworth III) vs. The Great Pepito - Muir countered earlier in the match with a rake to the eyes followed by a chokehold and a bodyslam. Pepito would fire back with rapid shots but Muir caught him off guard. Fozzworth handed Muir a foreign object (I won't say what it was) who used it to jab Pepito. On the outside Madman Muir rammed Pepito's head into the ring post but The Great One recovered with chops and 10 punches to Muir's head. Pepito delivered a splash from the top rope but Muir grabbed the ropes as referee Rocky Augustino made the count. In the end, after Laurence Fozzworth III grabbed Muir's leg by accident, Pepito got the W with a rollup.
Match #3 Marius (accompanied by Lord Damien Wolfstein) vs. Shawn Northstar - As Marius made his way to the ring, I said ''Finally business has picked up.'' Shawn countered with a headlock as well as a shoulderblock but Marius would deliver a mic-check (or whatever that move is) for a 2 count. Marius would then deliver a rake to the eyes and a Russian leg sweep but when he went for a top rope legdrop, Northstar rolled out of the way who then delivered a clothesline and 2 Avalanches but only got a 2 count. When referee Rocky Augustino wasn't looking, Marius got the win via submission. After the match, Marius cut a promo saying ''I came here to RCW not to face that guy (Northstar) oh no, I have a plan''.
Weasel's Den with Laurence Fozzworth III - It was time for Laurence Fozzworth III to do his interview segment the Weasel's Den (but dear readers, we all know that my interview segment entitled The Columnist's Corner is much, much better lol) he brought out Mike Mission who says that he is tired of Leo London cheating and says that he and London will settle this at Norquay and pulls out a kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire.
Match #4 - Reggie Gallagher vs Buddy Wiser - Earlier in the match fans chanted ''Reggie sucks!!''. A collar elbow tie up backed Reggie to the corner, this caused Gallagher to almost walk out of the match. Back in the ring, Reginald delivered hard rights but Buddy recovered and brought Reggie in the hard way however, Gallagher delivered a low blow followed by a punt and choked Wiser on the outside. Back in the ring, Reggie delivered repeated ax handles to the back of Buddy and told referee Augustino to shut up. Buddy would set up Gallagher for a chokeslam but Reggie managed to step aside and deliver a clothesline from hell for the W. which caused my brother to say ''that's bullshit'' but I did not think it was.
Match #5 - ''Dirty'' Dick Walker vs. Vinnie Valiant - This match was made earlier in the afternoon. Valiant was accompanied by Leah Maria Maivia. Maivia slapped Walker across the face who became an easy target for Valiant with hard rights, chops, a monkey flip, a sunset flip and a dropkick. Dirty Dick recovered, tripped up Vinnie and went to work on the leg but Valiant recovered with a schoolboy but only got a 2 count. Walker continued to work on Vinnie with a halfcrab and a superkick but Vinnie would recover with a heelkick to the chest as well as a crucifix into a sunset flip but Dick gave him a poke to the eyes and clotheslined him for good measure. Vinnie countered with a dropkick but only got a 1 count. In the end however, Vinnie managed to put the Dirty One away with a 450 splash.
Impromptu Battle Royal - After the match Marius delivered a Peyote Piledriver to Vinnie. (my best friend Adam would have loved that) This caused the locker room to empty for an impromptu battle royal which Pepito won last eliminating Madman Muir.
