Last Thursday night Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW) presented Beat The Summer Heat at the new Marquee Lounge and Event Centre formerly known as Dylan’s. Now originally this event was scheduled for 9:00 but instead it got changed to 8:15 but the card did not get under way til sometime after 8:30. Anyhow, here are the results courtesy of the Grand Master Blogger.
Opening Contest: ”Outlaw” Adam Knight vs. Cameron Cross - A collar elbow tieup into an armbar by Cross but Knight reversed it. Cameron would then reverse it again. Knight backed Cross to the corner for an irish whip but missed with an elbow. This would allow Cross to put on an armbar until the Outlaw delivered a shot to the gutt as well as an irish whip to the corner turnbuckle. Next, Cameron would try a hiptoss but it was blocked by the Outlaw. Cross did a ploncha over the top onto Adam. Back in the ring, the Outlaw did a boot to the back and an elbow but Cross kicked out at 2. Cross got the fans rivalled up and delivered a haymaker but Knight kicked out at the 2 mark. Cross would deliver a kick to the gutt and as he tried a running move, Outlaw Adam put him down with a hard Lariat and choked his opponent with his knee. Knight picked Cross up but Cameron bounced back with shots to the kidney until Knight delivered a backbreaker, rammed his head into the top turnbuckle and slapped Cross in the face which allowed Cameron to bounce back with a tornado DDT until the Outlaw kicked out at 2. Back on the outside Cross delivered a twisting moonsault to the Outlaw as well as a bodypress back in the ring but Knight would kick out at 2. Finally, a reverse atomic drop by Knight and a lariat were enough to get the win.
Darien Karisma Promo: ”Filthy” Josh Hammerstein asks Karisma what he wants. Karisma replies that apparently he is no longer a member of PCW and announces but there is nothing that is going to stop him from walking out with his junior title. For the longest time Darien Karisma has been the longest reigning Junior Heavyweight Champion. Longer since both Mentallo and the great Rawskillz. Karisma calls out Rawskillz and announces he ain’t coming and says that there is noone not even Andrew Shallcross who is going to stop me from walking out with his Junior Heavyweight Title. Just as Karisma walks out the door, ”Remarkable” Chris Marxwell attacks Karisma leading to the second match of the evening.
Match #2 - Junior Heavyweight Title Match - ”Remarkable” Chris Marxwell vs. Darien Karisma - After Marxwell jumped Karisma and they both brawled in the ring, Karisma attacks Marxwell with a DDT but Chris bounces back and gets the W to become the new PCW Junior Heavyweight Champion. Congrats Chris Marxwell and to Darien Karisma, all the best in your future endeavours.
Match #3 - Europe United (Leo London & James Beaver) vs. Seeds Of Evil (EZ Ryder & ”TNT” Trent Nash) - Ryder does not come out with TNT so the match gets changed to a 2 on 1 handicap match. London tries a chop but it does not phase the big man. This allowed Nash to bodyslam Leo but London did a twirling elbow. Beaver suplexes TNT and delivers shots to the back. Leo delivered a Hangman’s Rolling Elbow and put Trent in a headlock before tagging Beaver until Nash double clotheslined both men. TNT delivered a chop to the back twice on Beaver. After a splash, Leo delivered a shot to the back of the head of Trent allowing Europe United to get the victory.
Scott Justice Promo: Just as Scott is about to announce who he is going to face, the Experience’s music hits. Once in the ring, Kenny says to Scott that this situation reminds me of Last Action Hero when someone had a Golden Ticket just like his. Kenny then says that we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Scott chooses the hard way and quits the Experience to which Chris Stevens says: ”You can’t quit, you’re fired. Kenny then announces that Justice has been replaced.
Match #4 - Antonio Scorpio Jr. vs Prince Fuergo - The Prince offers a handshake which Scorpio accepts by squeezing the hand until Fuergo dropkicks Antonio and delivers 10 punches. Scorpio bridge suplexes the prince but the Prince kicks out at 2. A snapmare and a kick to the back by Scorpio followed by a suplex allowed Fuergo to kick out at 2. The Prince took Antonio over with a headscissors but as the Prince tried a bodypress, Scorpio caught him for a Catatonic. As Scorpio set up Feurgo for the tombstone piledriver, the Prince turned it into a Dragon sleeper but Scorpio finally managed to deliver his tombstone piledriver for the victory.
Match #5 - Experience Challenge - Jackie Lee vs. Scott Justice - This match was made earlier in the night by the Experience. A hookup into a bridge by Scott until Lee put on an armbar. Justice took down Lee with a shoulderblock and a hiptoss but Lee recovered with a European uppercut but Justice kicked out at 2. Scott delivered elbows and a dropkick as well as a superkick for a 2 count. Justice tried a bulldog but Jackie kicked out at 2. Finally, Scott put on his Southern Cross submission move for the victory while the fans cheered loudly.
Intermission: I went to the bar to get a drink (no not an alcoholic drink)
Match #6 - PCW Canadian Title Match - Kory Kinkade (Challenger) vs. ”The Enforcer” JP Kaos (Champion) - Kinkade attacks from the opening bell and lays a beating on JP. Kaos fights back with a boot and a hard right as well as a second hard right. JP slams Kory but Kinkade kicks out at 2. With Kinkade ontop of the rope, both men try punches with Kinkade getting the upperhand with a DDT but Kaos kicks out at 2. Both men tried punches but Kory missed in the corner. This prompted the champion to get the W. After the match Billy Blaze attacks Kaos. Into the ring came the Outlaw Adam Knight who says to Kaos that next month he is out of the country but Kaos is going to be taking on his good friend Billy Blaze for the Canadian Title.
Match #7 - PCW Tag Team Title Match - The Experience (Kenny Omega & Chris Stevens) vs. Tag Sciences Faculty (Mike Angels & ”Priceless” Chad Tatum) - Angels and Tatum attack the tag champs with Tatum doing a double noggin knocker and both men with a running high five to each other. Mike puts Kenny in an armbar allowing Chad to tag himself in doing a rolling elbow as well as a flying elbow but missed a second as Omega puts the boot up and tags in Stevens. Stevens does a double ax handle followed by a sideslam. The crowd chanted Tatum, Tatum as Stevens put more pressure on as Omega came in and put Priceless in an armbar. Angels got the crowd reeling as the Experience team was in control. Chad bounced back with a clothesline but Kenny took him down with a bodyslam. Chris took the bottom turnbuckle and bashed Priceless with it before putting him in a Boston Crab and tagging Omega who was a target for a rollup but Kenny kicked out at 2. Chad bounced back with an atomic drop on the turnbuckle to Kenny, but Kenny tagged in Stevens who elbowed Tatum before tagging Kenny back in who dropped down on Tatum 3 times in a row, but missed a suplex. This prompted Tatum to tag in Angels who was fired up and put on his clawhold finisher but it was broken up by Stevens. Kenny tried pinning Angels but it was broken up by Chad who delivered a Sliced Bread. Angels delivered a Death Valley Driver but only got a 2 count. Stevens superkicked Tatum off of the ropes but Chad kicked out at 2. Angels delivered a GTS (Go To Sleep) to Omega as well as a Clawhold to Stevens until Omega sprayed something in Mike’s eyes but somehow Angels kicked out at 2. Mike once again tried his Claw Finisher on Kenny but in the end, the Experience kept their titles
