SPW Presents The Shake, Rattle & Roll Tour Results

Last night, SPW (Steeltown Pro Wrestling) presented the final stop on the Shake, Rattle & Roll Tour at the Royal Canadian Legion 1335 Main St. Now this show featured former WWE Superstar and the Greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time: The Honky Tonk Man. Here are the results from the Master Blogger.

Opening Contest: 6 Man Tag - Sydney Manson, Hooded Claw & Samuel vs. Butch Tholton, ''Big Rig'' Shawn Northstar & Jethro Hawg - Tholton goes right after Samuel with 2 clotheslines and tags in Shawn who goes to work on the arm. Next in comes Jethro who continues to work on the arm by biting and tags in Butch. Unfortunatly Butch gets rammed into the ring post followed by repeated punches from Samuel. In comes Claw who immitates the dancing moves followed by a double thrust and a chokehold. While Claw distracts referee Dynamite Doug Valentine, Manson chokes Tholton with the tag rope. Butch manages to tag in Jethro and all 6 men go at it. Inside the ring, Hawg does a stinkface to Claw followed by a splash from Big Rig and a second splash from Hawg for the win.

Match #2 - Cameron Kross vs. Shadow Xtreme - This was Cameron's debut and he hoped to make it a memorable one. Shadow begins with an armbar but Kross takes him down with a headlock. Shadow goes back to the headlock. Cameron turns the headlock into a headscissors for a 2 followed by 2 armdrags and then both men go down as a result of a double dropkick. Cameron continues with a kick til Xtreme slams him followed by a legdrop. Shadow irishwhips Cameron but misses in the corner as Kross connects with a dropkick and a knee til Xtreme delivers a neckbreaker, 2 dropkicks and a spinning heel kick followed by a moonsault for a 2. Kross turns the match around with a kick but gets a 2. Cameron suplexes Xtreme but Shadow kicks out. Shadow delivers a shoulder followed by a dropkick but missed the 5 star frog splash. This allowed Cameron to deliver a fisherman's suplex but Shadow kicks out. Shadow shoves Kross to the mat, delivered a Swanton and left the ring victorious.

Match #3 - ''German Juggernaut'' Moses Luke w/The Baroness vs. Jackie ''Jett'' Lee - This was basically a David vs. Goliath Match. Jackie goes to work with kicks and uppercuts followed by a jumping knee and 10 punches but only gets a 1 count. Jett takes Lee over with a dive to the outside but as he tries a flying bodypress, Moses catches him and pitches him backwards over the head and says ''now we play my game''. Moses chops Jackie twice followed by a suplex but Jackie kicks out at 2. Lee comes back with repeated shots til Moses delivers a sidewalk slam. Jackie comes back but the German Juggernaut delivers a spinebuster but Jackie kicks out. Jackie makes a comeback with hard rights, kicks and a dropkick for a 2. Jackie tries his Chidori (Chi-door-ee) but Moses delivers the Exclamation Point for the win.

Match #4 - SPW Tag Team Title Match - Syko & Son of Syko vs. Cory Diamond & ''Hotshot'' Danny Duggan - Diamond rubs Syko's mask. A collar elbow tie up as Diamond puts on an armbar and tags Danny who goes to work on the arm til Syko rakes the eyes and tags his son but Duggan and Cory manage to doubleteam him as Cory puts on another armbar and tags Hotshot who delivers a backflip and an armdrag from Cory. In comes Syko who goes to work on Diamond with a snapmare and a foot followed by a legdrop but Cory kicks out. Syko puts Cory down with a back elbow but Cory comes back with a rollup but Syko kicks out. Syko tags in his son who delivers a brainbuster suplex til Cory recovers and tags Danny who is all fired up with dropkicks til Syko breaks up the count. Duggan continues as Cory faceplants Son of Syko for a 2. The champions doubleteam Diamond as Syko gets the pin with an elbowdrop after using a nightstick with the referee's back turned.

Match #5 - Mr. Nasty w/Stacy Sperling vs. Leo London w/David London - This was the third encounter between these 2 with the stipulation being that both managers had to be handcuffed to each other. Leo goes to work right away on Nasty with uppercuts, chops and a roundhouse kick til Nasty comes back with a stretch move and a kick followed by a clothesline and an elbowdrop and then a knee followed by a second and third chop. London comes back with chops of his own with his brother David cheering him from ringside but gets a kick to the gutt followed by a vicious powerbomb from Nasty but Leo kicks out. Next, Mr. Nasty delivers a powerslam but Leo gets to the ropes. Nasty continues with a bearhug but Leo counters with a headscissors. On the outside, Nasty targets David til Leo comes back. Stacy gets powder ready to throw into the eyes of London but it gets thrown into Nasty as Leo delivers a Hangman's Rolling Elbow for the win.

Match #6 was supposed to be a Diva's Pillow Fight but it got interrupted by Kevy Chevy who clears the ring. The ring announcer tries to get involved but he gets tossed as well. Next, the Aaron's mascot gets involved but he gets a chair shot. Chevy asks for a mic and says: ''OK, this is pure crap, this is bs. Tonight Kevy Chevy becomes SPW Heavyweight Champion and if you thought that was hardcore, I'll show you what hardcore really means!!

Intermission - several wrestlers came out to sign autographs

Match #7 - SPW Provincial Title Match - Marius vs. ''Misfit'' Mike Mission - Marius went right to work on the challenger with repeated stomps before the bell. Marius continues with a snapmare and an elbow followed by a back elbow but gets a 2. Mission comes back but gets put down again. A chokeslam from the champ is a 2. A splash and again the Misfit kicks out at 2. Mission comes back but then both go down because of a double clothesline. Mission delivers repeated punches and gets a 2. A bulldog from Misfit Mike is another 2. Finally, Mission delivers his Mission Statement DDT causing Marius to walk out of the match.

Match #8 - ''Really Crazy'' Rob Stardom vs. The Honky Tonk Man - The crowd joined Honky in singing his entrance music. A collar elbow tieup as HTM shoves Really Crazy to the mat. A second collar elbow as Stardom rakes Honky's eyes. Honky goes to work on Stardom using the ropes. Rob puts on an armbar but thanks to the Honky chants from the audience, HTM reverses the armbar til Rob delivered a kick to the gutt but then Honky Tonk took Stardom and rammed his head into 3 turnbuckles with the fans counting along. Stardom recovered and chokes Honky with his wrist tape twice. A kick to the gutt twice is followed by a splash by Rob for a 2. The crowd chanted Honky Tonk but Stardom puts him down again. The chant started again but Really Crazy goes to work on the knee. Honky recovered with a back elbow and returns the favor. It was now time for the Greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time to deliver his patented Shake Rattle & Roll swing neckbreaker. The move that won him several matches over the years back in the day but Stardom got in a low blow and went to get the guitar. Honky delivered a shot to the breadbasket, picked up the guitar and played a tune on Stardom for the win.

Match #9 - Reggie Gallagher & James Beaver vs. Sons Of Anarchy (Big Cliff Corleone and Billy Blaze) - Now originally this was supposed to be a 1 on 1 encounter but James Beaver made his way to the ring and it became a handicap match. However, little did the heel team realize that out slid Cliff's tag team partner Billy Blaze and it became a tag team match. Beaver tries 2 shoulderblocks but Cliff doesn't budge. Cliff clotheslines Beaver over the ropes to the outside where the Englishman lands on his feet. Beaver tags Reggie and Cliff tags Billy. Blaze gets a kick from Gallagher. Gallagher continues to choke Billy with help from Beaver. Reggie continues with a neckbreaker. Next while Reggie distracts the referee, Billy gets choked but comes back and tags Corleone but of course the refferee didn't see the tag. Beaver goes for a cover but gets a 2. Gallagher continues with a double axhandle as fans chant Reggie sucks, Reggie sucks. In comes Beaver and gives Billy a clothesline. Billy comes back with a powerslam and tags Big Cliff who is on fire. The SOA doubleteam with a Corleone Crunch and a jumping kick from Blaze. Corleone gets in a splash but the cover is broken up by Reggie. All 4 men go at it as Beaver shoves the referee forcing the match to be ruled a no contest. After the match, SOA deliver a double chokeslam to Beaver and put the SOA shirt over him. Even the Blogger got a high 5 from Blaze.

Main Event: SPW Heavyweight Title Match - Kevy Chevy (challenger) vs. La Sombra (champion) - Sombra begins with a dropkick and a heel kick. Kevy reverses the irishwhip and moves out of the way as Sombra attempts a 6-1-9. Sombra delivers a headscissors and rammed Chevy's head 4 times into the mat. A second headscissors and Chevy kicks out at 2. Kevy recovered and started choking Sombra. Chevy drops Sombra on his head with a back suplex for a 2. Sombra recovered but ran into a boot. Sombra comes back with elbows but runs into a vicious clothesline. As Kevy goes up top for a moonsault, La Sombra rolled out of the way. Sombra covers but gets a 2. Chevy delivers a kick to the gutt but as he goes for his running piledriver, Sombra gets a near fall with a sunset flip. Both trade punches. Next, Chevy reaches under the ring for a weapon and so does Sombra. Sombra brings in chairs and Chevy brings in a trash can lid. Both clang the chairs and neither go down. Next, Kevy uses the chair but it bounces off the ropes. With Chevy unconscious Sombra goes for a cover but surprisingly, Chevy kicked out at 2. At this point, the match goes outside and the fight gets taken to the commentary table where Chevy delivers a jumping piledriver. Back inside the ring, Chevy goes for a cover but Sombra surprisingly kicks out at 2. Sombra recovers with 10 punches followed by a super hurricanranna for the win.

SPW returns to Winnipeg on Sunday April 29, 2012 to the Royal Canadian Legion 1335 Main St.
