Last night, Canadian Wrestlings Elite (CWE) presented its 4th Anniversary Show at Southeast Collegiate.
Opening Contest - Marius vs. ''Pissed Off Pitbull'' Robby Royce - The Pissed Off Pitbull gets in a couple of chops and an armdrag into an armbar and adds pressure to the arm. Marius comes back but gets a clothesline as both go over onto the floor. Robby continues with a ploncha. Back inside however, Marius puts the knees up. Now it's Marius who is in control. Marius puts on an abdominal stretch as well as delivering an elbow but Royce comes back until Marius goes back to the stretch and legdrops him for good measure. Robby comes back with a sleeper. After Marius misses an elbow Robby comes back with a spinebuster, a boot but in the end Marius gets the win.
Match #2 - JJ Sanchez w/Kory Kinkade vs. ''Pimp Daddy'' Rick Matthews - These 2 former tag team partners got it on in this one on one encounter. Matthews was out to prove why JJ was a loser. JJ goes to work on Matthews with chops til Rick turns the match around with a headscissors. JJ recovers with and gets a near fall. JJ continues with a Sky High and gets 2. A belly to back suplex by Pimp Daddy followed by a Death Valley Driver is another near fall. On the ropes a piledriver from the ropes to the mat by Sanchez and again Rick kicks out at 2. Sanchez powerbombs Rick for the win.
Match #3 - No DQ Match for the CWE Heavyweight Title - ''Hotshot'' Danny Duggan vs. ''Bring The Pain'' Matt Fairlane - Danny takes Matt over with a clothesline and a chop on the outside and suplexes him for good measure. Back inside, a foot stomp and rapid chops followed by a neckbreaker but only gets a 2. Duggan grabs the chair and gets hit instead with it. Gets back up hits Matt with it. A Rock Bottom attempt is blocked by a Fairlane Widowmaker but only gets a 2. Matt goes to use the chair, it is blocked by Danny. A spinebuster by Fairlane is followed by by a slam on the outside as well as a slingshot into the ringpost. Back inside, the cover is a 2. Danny puts the boot up, makes the cover and gets a near fall. Fairlane gets the chair ready and clocks Danny across the back only to get another near fall. Reaching under the ring, Matt pulls out a table, brings it into the ring, but just as he's about to send Danny through the table, Duggan moves and all hell breaks loose as the referee goes through the table. This prompts Danny to get the chair but has second thoughts and gets a taser as a bit of payback he zaps Matt with it. Next out comes Shane Madison in a referee shirt and goes to make the 3 count but stops after the second count. This allowed Matt to roll up Danny which allowed Madison to make the fastest 3 count causing my friend to say that was bs!!!
Match #4 - La Sombra vs ''A List'' Anderson Tyson Moore - A kick to the gutt by ATM til Sombra delivers a DDT over the ropes followed by a ploncha into a DDT. This is followed by a bulldog. A backkick by ATM is followed by a hurricanranna. Sombra recovers with a snapmare dropkick but Moore recovers with a DDT for a 2. A-List puts on an armbar til Sombra recovers with a hurricanranna off the ropes. A small package is a nearfall. Another headscissors, a roundhouse kick followed by a 6-1-9 but as he comes off the ropes, Moore delivers a Diamond Cutter for the win.
Match #5 - Four Way Match to Determine #1 Contenders to the CWE Tag Team Titles - M Maxx (''Blue-Eyed Idol'' Tyler Colton & ''Zombie Hunter'' Mentallo) vs. Kory Kinkade & JJ Sanchez vs. Scotty Raver & Bubbles McFly vs. Shadow Xtreme & Blake Martel - Colton takes Raver down with a shoulderblock. In comes Bubbles who gets on the back of JJ. Mentallo and Blake go at it. The fight goes to the outside,where again all hell breaks loose. Mentallo runs Kinkade into the chairs. Xtreme delivers a legdrop onto Tyler. Martel and Xtreme are the first team eliminated by Colton and Mentallo. A double suplex by both McFly and Scotty as both Colton and Mentallo do a double dropkick. Next both Raver and Bubbles are gone. That just left M-Maxx alone with JJ and Kinkade. JJ gets in a sidewalk slam but it wasn't enough. Mentallo gets the win for his team with an awesome moonsault.
Match #6 - Tag Team Dog Collar Match - Original Thug Crew (Darren ''The Bomb'' Dalton & ''Canadian Crime Spree'' Spyder) vs. Saints Of Los Angeles (Nate Hardy & Tommy Lee Curtis) - OTC go to work on the Saints til TLC comes back with an RKO on Spyder. Meanwhile, Darren continues to ambush Hardy with the chain. Outside, Tommy manages to slam Spyder but blocks a backcracker. Tommy Lee rams Spyder into a fan's boot after Spyder refused. Next, the match ends up going into the crowd. Nate delivers a DDT to The Bomb and only gets a nearfall. Next, Dalton superplexes Hardy. The match goes on with Darren trying a powerbomb but Hardy gets the win for his team with a hurricanranna. After that, OTC were about to fight with the crowd chanting fight fight. Just as it looked like OTC was going to break up, they fooled everyone.
Intermission
Match #7 - Loser Eats Dog Food Match - Kevin Cannon's Mystery Client vs. ''The Rebel'' Bobby Collins - Collins goes to work on Mystery Client with rapid punches sending him to the outside. Mystery recovers with a headbutt and other moves followed by a sidewalk slam but The Rebel recovered and got the win with a legdrop. Because of the pre-match stipulation it was now time for the loser to eat a can of dog food. Just as it looked like Kevin Cannon was going to attack the Rebel while he was opening the can of dog food, from out of nowhere, Caveman Broda arrived and he and Bobby fed Kevin the can of dog food.
Match #8 - Buddy Wiser vs. The Axe - It was now time for a battle of the big men. A collar elbow as both men go nowhere. Wiser delivers rights to Axe followed by a big boot. A clothesline oer the ropes and Axe lands on his feet. Axe clotheslines Wiser followed by a headbutt. An avalanche is followed by a bodyslam. During the match, Marius came out to watch. In the end, Axe gets the win with a 747 Splash.
Match #9 - 123Approved.ca Television Title Match - Billy Blaze vs. ''Big Poppa Pump'' Scott Steiner - A collar elbow tieup as Steiner backs Blaze to the corner giving him rapid chops and a hiptoss followed by a shoulderblock and the match goes to the outside where Steiner rams Billy into the wall. Back inside a Steinerline is followed by an elbow until Blaze inadvertantly pulls the referee allowing him to choke Steiner. Scott comes back until Blaze chokes him again. As Billy goes up top he misses an elbow. This allowed Steiner to deliver a back elbow followed by a vicious belly-to-belly suplex. Big Poppa Pump dumps Blaze on his head followed by a DDT on the title belt which prompts the other members of SOA (''Misfit'' Mike Mission & Big Cliff Corleone) to come out and attack Steiner giving the Big Bad Booty Daddy the win via DQ. The match ended with Steiner proclaiming ''This goes to all my freaks in Winnipeg: Big Poppa Pump is your hook-up HOLLA IF YOU HEAR ME!!!''
Match #10 - CWE Tag Team Title Match - Sons of Anarchy (''Misfit'' Mike Mission & Big Cliff Corleone) vs. Big Sexy Beasts (Kevy Chevy & AJ Sanchez) - Sanchez and Chevy ambush SOA before the match. AJ chops Mission repeatedly followed by a dropkick. The Misfit comes back only to get a legdrop. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Billy Blaze comes out and belts Sanchez allowing Big Cliff and Mission to retain their titles.
Match #11 - Syko vs. Kory Kinkade - Syko goes to work on Kory with hard chops and a chokehold. Kory moves out of the way of a charge but Syko pours on with a Catatonic and a splash for the win.
Main Event w/Special Enforcer ''Prime Cut'' Jon Cutler - ''Pissed Off Pitbull'' Robby Royce vs. ''Bring The Pain'' Matt Fairlane - Fairlane goes to work on Robby attacking him before the bell. The match goes on as Fairlane suplexes Robby and delivers repeated rights. On the outside Matt rams Royce's back into the ringpost. Royce comes back for a bit only to get a sidewalk slam for a 2. Royce comes back again only to get put down again with a bottom rope slingshot. The Pissed Off Pitbull comes back with a powerbomb to the turnbuckle. A bodyslam attempt and Matt falls atop him for a near fall and again Royce kicks out at 2. Matt irish whis Robby again to the buckle. Matt goes for a cover with his feet on the ropes only to have Cutler knock them off. This makes Matt so angry he dares Cutler into the ring. During the course of the match, the referee gets knocked out. However, in the end Robby managed to make Bring The Pain tap out to the Choke Chain submission move with Cutler ringing the bell. Winner and new CWE Champion ''Pissed Off Pitbull'' Robby Royce.

SPW Returns To Winnipeg Results
Tonight, Steeltown Pro Wrestling (SPW) returned to the Casa Do Minho 1080 Wall St. Now for those reading this, I have changed my name from the Master Blogger to the Wrestling Insider. New year, new name change. Anyway, let us get on to the results.
Opening Contest Featuring the Wild Women of SPW - Bobbie Duggan vs. Lamb Chop - This match never even got started as Moses Luke, Chip Fletcher, James Beaver and Jethro Hawg get involved.
Match #2 - ''Really Crazy'' Rob Stardom vs. ''Playboy'' Buddy Wiser - Wiser shoves Stardom twice til Stardom delivers rapid kicks and chops that do not phase Wiser til a hard one from Buddy phases Rob. Another hard one for good measure and Wiser is in control this is followed by a suplex for good measure. Really Crazy turns the match around but Wiser quickly recovers and gets a 2. Stardom bites Buddy but Wiser recovers with a boot but misses a legdrop as Rob covers and gets a 2. A clothesline is followed by a splash for the win.
Match #3 - JJ Sanchez vs. ''Extreme Luchador'' La Sombra - AJ Sanchez came out to watch Sombra's back as Sombra dominated most of the match. A hurricanranna attempt is blocked by sidewalk slam by JJ but Sombra kicks out at 2. A drop toehold is followed by a 6-1-9. Suddenly, in the thick of it, AJ turned on Sombra and helped JJ dominate La Sombra giving the win to JJ.
Match #4 - ''Canadian Loose Cannon'' TJ Bratt vs. ''Golden Boy'' El Dorado - TJ goes to work on Dorado. Dorado recovers but gets a hard chop. Dorado makes a comeback but Bratt gets the win with a stretch submission hold.
Match #5 - 5 Man SPW Showdown for the SPW Hardcore Title - Samuel vs Sydney ''Scarhead'' Manson vs. ''Playboy'' Buddy Wiser vs, Marius vs. Chip ''Hardcore Kid'' Fletcher - Marius clocks Samuel with a crutch but Samuel turns it around but then goes into the plywood. Chip whacks Marius with the chain and gets the win with a rollup.
Match #6 - SPW Heavyweight Title Match - ''Really Crazy'' Rob Stardom vs. Jethro Hawg w/Lamb Chop - Before the match James Beaver ambushes Jethro and kidnaps Lamb Chop. Referees tried to stop Beaver but Beaver punches one of the reffs. Stardom takes the mic and says he has been too busy chasing after Beaver when he should be worried about Stardom. In other words the match never even got started.
Match #7 - ''German Juggernaut'' Moses Luke vs. ''Extreme Luchador'' La Sombra - Sombra goes to work til Moses gets in a backbreaker and an avalanche til Sombra recovers with a kick. As Sombra goes behind Moses delivers a backkick but misses a legdrop which allowed La Sombra to deliver a 6-1-9 and a headbutt for the win but in come the Sanchez Brothers who ambush La Sombra luckily ''Hotshot'' Danny Duggan makes the save.
Match #8 - SPW Hardcore Title Match - Marius goes to work on Chip but Chip recovered only to be put down by Marius with a supelex for a near fall. A plywood shot followed by a chair is another near fall. As Marius tries a piledriver, Chip does a back bodydrop and uses the chair 3 times but finally Marius using a camelclutch with the chair is the win and the new SPW Hardcore Title.
Insider's Note: If I was at ringside, I would have made sure Fletcher remained champion. For those reading this, yes I have been a manager in another promotion. Let's just leave it at that.
Match #9 - Syko & SonofSyko vs. S.O.A. - A double finger poke by Billy follolwed by a headlock on SonofSyko and tags in Cliff who gets an eyerake but a shoulderblock does not even budge Cliff. In comes Syko and gets a shoulderblock. Blaze comes in and gets attacked by Syko. Billy comes back but Syko puts him down again. Again Blaze comes back with a thunderous double clothesline and manages to tag Big Cliff who is on fire but the referee sends him back to the corner because the reff did not see the tag. This allowed Syko and SonofSyko to get the win as SonofSyko pinned Blaze with his feet on the ropes.
Match #10 - ''Mile High'' Zack Mercury vs. ''Highlander'' Robbie McAllister - Merc goes to work on Robbie. Robbie comes back but Merc goes to work some more with a back suplex among other moves. A sidewalk slam is another near fall. Robbie recovers by bringing Merc in the hard way and gets the win with a double underhook suplex.
Intermission
Match #11 - Sanchez Brothers vs. S.O.A. - I had a little pen trouble here so I could not detail this match. Winners: AJ & JJ Sanchez.
Match #12 - SPW Provincial Title Match - Reggie Gallagher vs. ''Highlander'' Robbie McAllister - A shoulderblock by Robbie til Gallagher recovers with an eyepoke til McAllister recovers with a headbutt for a nearfall. A jawbreaker as Reggie goes back to work til Reg delivers an elbow. Reggie recovers w/several back elbows and a dropkick but Reggie gets the win with a rollup holding the tights and becomes the new SPW Provincial Champion.
Match #13 - AJ & JJ Sanchez vs. ''Extreme Luchador'' La Sombra and ''Hotshot'' Danny Duggan - Several armdrags by Duggan followed by a plocha onto both AJ & JJ til The Sanchez Brothers caught Sombra only to have Duggam deliver a double dropkick. A reverse atomic drop by Duggan on AJ til Danny brings JJ in the hard way. Now the Sanchez brothers are in control til Danny goes to work on JJ. In the end Sombra pins JJ with a Tornado DDT.
Main Event: James Beaver vs. Jethro Hawg - Beaver brought Lamb Chop out to ringside who was tied up. Beaver goes to work on Hawg using his cowbell to bust him open but gets a nearfall. A clothesline in the corner is followed by a choke with his boot. Jethro recovers with a slam and a clothesline and goes to untie Lamb Chop. In the thick of it all, Lamb Chop turns on Jethro and kisses Beaver. Despite the fact that Lamb Chop turned on Hawg, he still got the win. It still wasn't over. My arch-rival the Weasel Laurence Fudgeworth III came out and said he had someone who wanted to celebrate the win. It was none other than Doink The Clown who turned out to be Rob Stardom as both go to work on Jethro. Which made me soooo angry.
Extra Notes: I knew something was fishy when Fudgeworth showed up. Well now it's time to get even. If that match takes place in Winnipeg, I am offering my services to be in the corner of Jethro Hawg and if Fudgeworth tries to intervene I will clock him with my clipboard just like I did before.
