New Brand Wrestling Incredibly Strange Results

Tonight, New Brand Wreslting presented its final show titled Incredibly Strange at the Ellice Theatre 587 Ellice Avenue. Now this show featured an 8 man tournament with both the NBW Heavyweight Title and the RCW Heavyweight Title at stake. This show also featured the retirement of the Masked Messenger (Mess-Anger) Mr. Omar Nicholas. Would Dirty Dick Walker hold on to the NBW Title? Would Vinnie Valiant keep the RCW Title? Well folks, let's find out thanks to the results prepared by yours truly the Master Blogger.

Opening Contest: Madman Muir w/his anonymous manager vs. Vinnie Valiant - As the bell rang, both went into a collar elbow with Vinnie slapping Madman but Madman took Vinnie over with an armdrag til Valiant reversed it. Muir calls a timeout. Once finished, Muir delivers hard rights and a bodyslam but only gets a 2. Next, Madman comes down on Vinnie while his manager choked him but then Muir gets a 2. Next Muir tries a rollup but gets another near fall. A spear attempt is another 2 count at this point, Madman tosses Vinnie to the outside. On the outside, Muir slams Vinnie but Valiant recovers til Muir delivers a hard right. Vinnie does a flying cross body but gets stopped . Muir goes for a cover but gets a 2. A powerslam is another 2. Finally, Vinnie wins with a superplex.

Post Match: Vinnie gets interviewed by The Great Pepito.

Match #2 - Damon Marx vs. ''The Rebel'' Bobby Collins (accompanied by Caveman Broda) - The match begins with Broda sneaking into the ring and biting Marx on the  buttox. Collins takes the more larger Damon over with 2 armdrags, a dropkick followed by a stomp on the hand. Back inside, Damon delivers an irishwhip and a clothesline. A headlock is followed by a poke to the eyes and a knee choke. Marx continues with punches and a second clothesline. This is followed by a headbutt and 2 stomps. The Rebel recovers with a sunset flip but only gets a 2 count. Marx misses a charge in the corner which prompts Bobby to ascend the ropes only to be stopped by Damon. However, Collins and Marx take the fight to the outside where both were risking being counted out. With the referee counting the Dirty One came out and held onto Collins' leg thus giving Marx the win and an advance via countout.

Post Match:  Pepito congratulated Marx even though he said he did not deserve it.

Match #3 - Dirty Dick Walker vs. Ricky Rivers - This match was a mismatch but to me it was a joke. Walker and Rivers shake hands before the bell, then puts Ricky down with a hard right and gets the fastest 3 count ever.

Match #4 - Reaper vs, Buddy Wiser - Reaper puts Buddy in an armbar til Wiser reverses it and puts on a headlock which is followed by a shoulderblock. Reaper tries chops but they do not phase Wiser. Wiser turns the tables with  bodyslam and chops of his own however, he misses an elbow. Reaper tries to cover but gets a 2. The crowd chanted Buddy, Buddy while Reaper held him down. Buddy delivered chops and a clothesline for the win.

Post Match: Buddy told Pepito if it came down to him and Vinnie, his message was may the best man win.

Match #5 - C4 Title Match - Marc Merric w/Aurora Love vs. Zack Mercury - Zack shoves Marc to the mat and delivers a knee and also rams Merric's head into the turnbuckle. On the outside, Merric's valet, Aurora Love paintbrushes Merc causing a chase around ringside. Once back inside, Merric dropkicks Z-Merc but Zack recovers with a suplex but only gets a 2. Merric delivers a chop and a high knee followed by a Dead Sea Drop but gets a 2. In the end, Merc gets the win and becomes the new C4 champion.

Post Match: Zack says this is his first time in the Ellice Theatre and hopefully his last. I come here to win titles not to please you stupid people.

Intermission

Match #6 - Damon Marx vs. Vinnie Valiant - It was now time for the semi-finals of this round robin tournament. Marx tosses Vinnie across the ring with not one but two hiptosses but Vinnie comes back with a jawbreaker and a backkick . Damon delivers blows to the back followed by a wishbone but Valiant recovers only to have Damon put him down again. Vinnie kicks out after a bodyslam. Vinnie comes back with a high risk move and a crucifix but only gets a 2. A rollup is another 2. A sunset flip was another near fall. Damon takes him down with a superkick and a spinebuster followed by a knee to the face but as Marx covers and the referee counts, Vinnie holds the ropes only to get some shattered dreams in the corner. A front-face suplex by Marx was a 2. By now, Damon was getting flustered. This allowed Valiant to deliver a twisting DDT followed by a 450 for the win.

Masked Messenger (Mess-ANGER) Promo: As Wayne Stanton calls out the Masked Messenger Omar Nicholas to say a few words, a man in Omar's cape and mask came down only to have Wayne say, let's get the Rebel Bobby Collins out here to stop this. Once Collins comes out the real Masked Messanger takes off the hat and pulls off the mask to reveal the imposter to be none other than Laurence Fozzworth III. Omar talks about how NBW was in business for 6 years and today we are closing the doors due to my health issues and my son's health issues but I want to thank everyone for all your support over the years.

Match #7 - Dirty Dick Walker (accompanied by Madman Muir) vs. ''Big'' Buddy Wiser - Wiser tosses Dirty Dick twice. Next,  Walker gets an armbar and a shoulderblock. Next, Dirty Dick calls a timout, allowing Walker to work over on Buddy with Muir choking him til Buddy recovers with a clothesline for a 2. Walker delivers repeated rights and a chokehold with his boot followed by a dropkick. On the outside Madman Muir choked Buddy. Inside, Dirty Dick delivered repeated headbutts. Buddy recovers but in the end, Dirty Dick gets the win.

Post-Match: Buddy tells Walker that if he and his buddy want to cost him the match to just wait I have a surprise for you Dirty Dick Walker!!

Match #8 - Reaper vs. Sharp Dressed Man - Reaper backs Sharp Dressed to the corner but SDM recovers only to get shoulders in the corner til SDM came back with a 619 followed by a splash for the win.

Main Event - ''Dirty'' Dick Walker (accompanied by Madman Muir) vs. Vinnie Valiant - After both men progressed their way through the tournament on separate occasions, it was now time for the belts to be unified. The Great Pepito was signed to be the guest referee. Dirty Dick went right to work but Valiant recovered with a bodypress and dropkick to the knee but Walker came back with a back suplex. At this point Muir distracted the referee while Dick Walker went to work on the leg. Luckily Bobby Collins chased Muir to the back. Back in the ring, as Walker had Valiant in a halfcrab, Vinnie managed to grab the ropes and rolls Walker up for a 2. Dick goes back to the already injured leg til Vinnie turns the tables with a monkey flip but gets a 2. Walker puts Vinnie down with a clothesline but missed a top rope knee drop. This prompted Vinnie to get the win with a 450. Winner and Unified Heavyweight Champion: Vinnie Valiant.

Post-Match: Buddy Wiser came down for the celebration and gets on the mic as Vinnie places the letters FNO on the belt. Wiser says: For those of you who have not heard, we have been in talks with the greatest promotor of all Wayne Stanton. For those who do not know what FNO stand for well you guys remember FNS? Well, tonight say goodbye to FNS and hello to FNO First Nations Order.

What will happen next? All I have to say is Stay tuned to find out more.
